Marc Mangus from GearWrench came out to the shop this week. He went to Distinctive Industries where they are setting up the custom leather upholstery. Then he came out to the shop to check out the new GM Performance Parts' ZZ383 short block with Edelbrock top. Bolted together using GearWrench tools the beast fired up on the first round. Way to go team.

Edgar and the boys are test-fitting the body, bed and front sheet metal on the TCI chassis. They are also beginning work on the custom sheetmetal; shaving the gas filler hole, dash and battery box cover. We had to use the hood off the parts truck, an old Holmes Wrecker we found out in the desert outside of Barstow, CA.

The rolling chassis is nearing completion at TCI. They are hooking it up with SSBC Brakes and fitting the newly arrived Cab. Soon it will be on it's way to our Tech Center for Project Manager Edgar Soler and his crew to start putting it together. The truck will feature a moon tank in the bed and a kickin' stereo system where the tank would normally be. Frenched headlights will light up the road with Xenon lamps from Delta-Tech.

OUR LATEST PROJECT
2008 offers some great new projects here at Classic Industries. We are continuing our involvement with Speed Channels' hit series Chop Cut Rebuild. This season we will be building a BRAND NEW 1953 Truck. The cool part to this build is the employees of Classic Industries will be building the truck in our brand new Tech Center! Follow along here or on Chop Cut Rebuild, the series on Speed Channel.
